Technology has impacted and changed our lives drastically since the turn of the millennium. It is unimaginable for one to be without a mobile phone now, even for a day. Leisure and productivity tasks have been made simpler, and our overall quality of life has improved. All these made possible with the development of technology in many different areas.
However, a lot of students today still learn in a way that is not too different from what was done 20 or 30 years ago. There is some use of technology in the classroom setting, but the learning experience still heavily resembles the past.
Education can, and should be revolutionised with technology. Similar to how we consume media like movies or music today, a student should be able to learn from anywhere, at any time they choose. The Math Wiz was started with that goal in mind.
Steve Jobs once mentioned that humans are tool builders. We build tools that will improve our lives. The computer that he built with Steve Wozniak was a “bicycle of the mind”. A tool that amplifies what our brain can do. The Math Wiz is a tool that we believe will help all students learn more efficiently and effectively.
